Personal Statement
I am a 5'9 senior Varsity tennis player from San Antonio, TX and will graduate in May 2012. I have maintained a 3.9 GPA while balancing other extracurricular activities such as Senior Class President and National Honor Society president. I became a part of the Varsity team as a freshman at number 6 with 3 prior years of experience and have consistently improved to my current rank: #1. I am apart of the Northside Independent School District #1 Girls Doubles team that was also Top 8 in the Region.
I am searching for an institution that values sports just as much as academics which a wonderfully "college spirited" atmosphere. I plan to major in Biology as apart of the Pre-Dentisty route of education. So, I would prefer to attend a college where such an educational route is available in my long range goal of becoming an orthodontist. Regardless of actual size, I would like a college that has a close-knit, family oriented atmosphere.
