Vanessa Cavazos '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Vanessa Cavazos and I have been playing volleyball for 4 years. I consider myself to be a competitive, coachable, joyful cheerleader, and hard-working person on and off the court. I am looking for a college with strong academics along with a competitive volleyball program as well. I want to study health sciences, services, and biology to reach my main goal which is attending medical school. I go to a very small school in San Antonio TX, Health Careers Highschool. My school is ranked #102 in the nation, #10 in Texas, #3 in San Antonio, and #1 in the District. Unfortunately, there are no team sports, so I worked hard to be on my school's track team and have been competing in the varsity 800m for the past two years. This past summer I was given the opportunity to help in street medicine with multiple nursing students. It was such an incredible experience and I got to learn so many new things!
