Hello,
My Name is Danielle Nyame , and I am a 10th grader at Seguin High School. I‘ve always known about the game of tennis since I was a little girl , but I started to get more serious about it in 6th grade and started playing competitively in 7th grade but my season got cut short due to COVID . Freshman year I made my high school’s varsity team tennis team and played line 3 in Singles and Doubles and my overall record was 13-7. We started tournament season and I made varsity for that also . My first varsity tournament I got 3rd place Main Draw in Mixed Doubles . My second tournament I played down on JV to play singles and played line 1 and got 1st Place Main Draw Girls Singles , and our 3rd tournament I got 4th in Varsity Girls Doubles . I unfortunately after this tournament dislocated my shoulder 2x and had to get BANKART LEISON REPAIR . Now , today I am almost 7 months post-op and just got cleared to go back to practice. While I was injured I was focusing on the little things I could like , footwork , agility, staying in shape , etc. I believe once I get back on those courts I will be able to be the tennis player I was before . Although this is a setback for some , I will use this as fuel and motivation to become the best tennis player I can be . While playing 3 sports Freshman school year I have always managed to make tennis and my academics my main priorities. One impressive skill I have is I have always been able to anticipate my opponents next move before it even happens. I would also call myself a hard working player because no matter how tired I am I will always keep on pushing until I win the point .
My aspirations for college are to become the best athlete and student I can be . I want to achieve having exquisite grades to be able to get into pharmacy school while also becoming the best tennis player I can be . The thing that makes me different is my strive to be the best. I succeed in everything I do because I never give up until I reach my goal . This is used in all aspects of my life.
