Throughout my highschool career the importance of balance between athletics and academics has been of importance. Maintaining more than a 3.5 GPA, and making athletic strides in cross country and track, has taught me the value of time management. Living on an island, competition with other schools often requires time away from school and home, making quality work completion difficult but not impossible. As an academic-athlete I hold myself to a higher standard, and work to my best ability in all things. I base my character not on what I have accomplished but on what the Lord has done for me. Religion has been of value within my life and allowed me to build my life not on the things of the world, but of those above. Being a leader in my youth group and within my school I have learned to interact with students my age and those with who I hold respect, maturely and kindly.
