Going through the journey of being an athlete I've noticed the drive I have when it comes to my sport. I have a competitive spirit and I love the satisfaction I get when I push myself to pass the finish line. I'm learning more about myself as I perfect my technique, strive to better myself both on and off the track, and understanding the importance of the ambition and dedication I have working towards my goals. As I learn to prioritize my time on both in my sport and academically I better myself not only in the present but just as much in my future.
I do not only push myself on the track I push myself just as much in the classroom, as academics and my future are extremely important to me. Going through high school I have found myself loving Forensic Psychiatry, as I wish to start that career path when I get to college.
Once I set my mind to something I am unstoppable. Running at a collegiate level and graduating with a degree are at the top of my list. Every choice I make, I look at the grand scheme of things- "how will this set me up for my future?"
I am driven, dedicated, ambitious, a perfectionist, a leader, anxious at times, kind, passionate, hard-working, determined, competitive, out-going, my worst critic, energetic, honest, but most importantly I am human. I think it is important to note that I am always growing and striving to be the best version of my self. I take the good in with the bad and understand it is about how I overcome all obstacles that forms a persons true character.
