Running track in college has been a goal of mine for quite a while now. After my first track season at Desert Edge I started to see and realize that I was capable of doing that. As I started running track in middle school, then club, and then the high school team, I knew I wasn't going to always be the top or fastest runner. I knew that in order to get there being dedicated, disciplined, and always training to get better were part of the process. On the athletic side, as I mentioned above, I ran on the middle school team. I have ran club track and cross country for about 4 years now. When high school started I made the varsity XC and track team. When it came down to school I always did my best to balance things out with sports and school work, it was not easy but I did manage one way or the other. I have always tried my best to be positive, kind, and motivated. I knew that if I let myself get stressed or unmotivated it wouldn't help me with school or running. School wise, I took all honors classes my freshman year and finished with a 3.8 GPA. My ultimate athletic goal is to be able to become one the best runners, even if it includes putting in more effort than the rest. Academically I would like to study criminology and hopefully one day be an FBI Agent.
