Rylee Perkins '20 Recruiting Profile

As a freshman, I broke the 20+ year long jump school record. This was a major accomplishment for me as I was new to this sport. I was a level 9 competitive gymnast until the spring of 2016. As I was entering High School, I had to make one of the toughest decisions ever and evaluate my future with gymnastics and my desire to do other sports. 2018-2019 I added triple jump to my repertoire and finished the season as the State Champion for both the long & triple jump! During the summer of 2019 I began learning high jump. I am just learning the technique & cannot flop yet, but I am able to scissor 4'11". Being so successful in Track & Field in such a short time, I have learned that I can accomplish anything I want to, with hard work and determination. I am also just as determined in the classroom. I am self-motivated, have very high expectations for myself, and always strive to excel in everything that I do. I am confident that my drive and athleticism would be a great value to your program. I cannot wait to be the best I can and see where my track & field career takes me!
