I come from a “Jack of All Trades Family”. Name it – and we can probably do it to some degree. That being said, I am a well-rounded student-athlete that has dabbled in many things and have a pretty clear vision of what I am interested in. At one point, I was juggling year-round softball, club soccer and middle school sports. I hung up my softball glove after many years and decided to focus on running and soccer. I have now decided to hang up my soccer cleats after 8 years of club ball to pursue my love of distance running.
Meanwhile, I play guitar, piano and sing. I love musical theater and pursue it as much as time permits. I recently had the opportunity to play Eponine from Les Miserables and The Baker’s Wife from Into the Woods.
After two years of high school and the pursuit of the highest possible classes, I have a 4.0 and obviously take my academics seriously. To date, I have taken all possible Advanced Placement classes.
I have had the opportunity to give back to my community in many ways but my top three volunteer activities are tutoring, volunteering at the Santa Barbara Sea Center and running the school Junior Optimist International club.
I look forward to the adventure that the right university will bring and I look forward to doing my part to give back to that university.
My parents are both teachers and having grown up in a household of teachers, I feel that I know what it entails. Having been inspired by some of my own teachers and coaches, I think I would like to become a science teacher and coach and have the power to inspire the next generation of scholars and athletes.
