My name is Lolo Milburn and I am a track and field athlete from southern California. I have been running track since I was ten years old and have participated in various club teams and was the Valley Youth Conference league champion in both the 100 meter and the 200 meters. During my time at Harvard-Westlake School, I have also been a member of my school's Delphic League championship cross country team, was the 2018 200 meter Delphic League champion, was a bronze medalist in the CIF SS Championships in 2021 and led my team to a CIF SS 4x100 meter relay and Team Championship.
I primarily specialize in the 100 meter, 200 meter, 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays. It has always been a big goal of mine to run in college because I enjoy competition and look forward to the opportunity to participate in alongside others with a passion for the sport. It would be an honor to receive an athletic scholarship for college because I have a goal to be a collegiate national champion like my mom. I have continued to train despite losing this year's season due to COVID-19, but I believe I have earned the respect of my teammates and am considered one of the leaders of my team. I know that success doesn't come easy academically or athletically, but I am committed to what it takes to have success. I plan to be a CIF champion next year and strive for continuous improvement.
I challenged myself by taking 7 classes in addition to my sport commitments. I am also a leader in my community volunteering for community food drives, serve as a Production Assistant at Remmet Studios, Student Leader in Diversity Equity and Inclusion at my school, and serve as an Usher captain in my local church and a member of the Peer Support program for my school.
