- ActivitiesOver the past three years, I've dedicated my time to interning with a non-profit organization committed to advancing education for children in marginalized communities in Nepal. In the initial year, my internship was conducted remotely. However, over the last two summers, I traveled to Nepal and collaborated with the team on-site. During these visits, I contributed by crafting articles and stories addressing educational issues in Nepal, as well as playing a role in preparing project funding proposals. Through these experiences, I recognized the critical need for clean hygiene education and access to water in schools located in remote villages that serve children from marginalized groups. This past summer, I took the initiative to launch a clean water project and organized a successful fundraising event resulting in providing clean water to schools in remote villages. In addition, I created and distributed proper hand washing flyers to the children, and demonstrated proper hand washing techniques and its benefits to the children. This initiative aims to support the educational needs of marginalized children by ensuring access to clean water and promoting hygiene practices.
