Track and Field has enabled me to better myself in many aspects, such as my character, motivation, respect, and hardworking skills. As soon as I began this sport my freshman year, I found a love for it and I have not given up since. I had never found an outlet to decompress and push myself to my best ability until I began my track career at Turlock High School. I strongly believe this sport has shaped me into who I am today. The Turlock High School track program has pushed the idea of strong leadership, team bonding, and a positive attitude into their athletes. Over the past three years of experience, I’ve seen dramatic improvement in those skills, and my ability overall as a sprinter. The feeling of accomplishment whether it is my own or my peers is very important to me, and I believe is also important to the atmosphere of track. Along with track, I have ran three years of cross country which I believe has helped me improve as an athlete and person overall. What sets me aside from other athletes is the responsibility I pride myself in having. As a student athlete, academics are my number one priority. It is important for me to study and regularly on top of my work, and maintain A’s and B’s overall. I show strong interest in majoring in Business and Management. I aspire to pursue my goal of running track in college, and to continue working on my character and athletic ability in the next level.
