Personal Statement

I am a Junior student athlete at Lauralton Hall high school, an all-girls college preparatory school in Milford, CT. I chose Lauralton because it is both academically challenging and offered a number of great athletic opportunities. Three years into my high school experience, I am a National Honors Society member, am taking a challenging course load, and finding success athletically in Track and Field.

Throughout my life, I have jumped between sports whether it was cheerleading, soccer, and field hockey. At Lauralton, I finally discovered Track and Field in my sophomore year and despite only competing in a couple seasons due to Covid, I know it is for me. This being said, my track career has only just begun and I would be honored to compete at the collegiate level. I am a versatile athlete who is willing to try new events. My coaches rely on me when they need someone in an event whether it is hurdles, 4x200, 400, SMR, and or HJ.

Sports do not define me, but they are increasingly important to who I am and I believe it will be an important part of my college experience. I want a college that will offer me personal relationships with my coaches, a supportive team environment, and plentiful opportunities to improve my athletic and academic abilities.

From my profile, coaches can already see that I am a well-rounded athlete and student who is hardworking and involved in various clubs. Beyond this limited profile, I am much more. I aspire to become a pilot after college and travel the world. Over my summers, I train at a small airport in Stratford to achieve my private pilot's license.
