Marguerite Bowles '20 Recruiting Profile

Hi ! My name is Marguerite Palmer Bowles (I go by Palmer) and I have been running for cross country since my seventh grade year. At first, I joined the team to get fit. Eventually, I fell in love with the sport and the team. I have been dedicated to cross country and track all the years i have been participating in it. I have attended Smoky Mountain Running Camp in Asheville, NC for four years now. As I am about to begin my junior year, I wanted to reach out to coaches (and hopefully have coaches reach out to me). I have always helped our team in a quiet but strong manner. I push my teammates to break boundaries and do better in their races. I have gone to a small school my whole life; therefore, I try my best to get to know every single one of my teammates and coaches. Not only am I dedicated to my running, I have always had a love for learning. I want to attend a college that will give me a degree that I am able to go to if I decide to stop running professionally.  I hope you like what you see !
