Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Caroline Bass and I am a Cross Country Runner and I also run Track and Field. Ever since I started running, I have pushed for high goals and times. In 2020, not only was it my goal to place at State, but also to get a personal record in my 5k race. I accomplished my goals by getting 6th at my State race and getting a personal record of 23:15. In 2021, I ran track for the first time ever and my goal was to improve every race I ran. I came out of my track season accomplishing just that. Not only did I improve in every race I ran, but I also qualified State in every single event I competed in. I even placed 7th in my 3200m race. This year I am shooting for a 21 minute 5k or even better. My favorite thing about being on a team is the community. I love cheering on and encouraging all of my teammates, even if it is in practices, races, or just being there for them when they need it the most. I will keep working and pushing for better times and overall strengthening my walk with God. As well as, focusing on my grades and performing to the best of my abilities.

Yes. Sophomore year I took Honors World History and Honors Biology and I made As in both. My Junior year I am taking Honors American History and Dual Enrolling College Algebra and American History at my local college. My senior year I plan on dual enrolling English 1101 and Government in the Fall. In the spring I plan on dual enrolling as well.Are you in AP/IB classes?

- AwardsI have made A’s in all of my honors classes. I am in the Beta Club at my school - which requirements are to maintain a 3.7 gpa as well as have 30 hours of community service each year.
- ActivitiesI’m in the HOSA club. I served as a service project leader last year and look forwarding to serving again this school year. I am also in the Beta Club and Surge, which is a club where we serve the community and we also have like a mini church service every month. This year I will also be serving as the Chaplain in our school’s Beta Club.
