I feel that I accomplished great things athletically and academically during my first two years of high school. Unfortunately, I am not able to compete in track my junior year due to injury. This has been difficult and frustrating but has also taught me two important things about myself. First and foremost is that I love to run and want more than anything to run collegiately. I will endure rehabilitation and cross training as well as resting with tremendous resolve and determination. However, the second concept I’ve learned is that I need to be patient and trust that my body will recuperate and cooperate in its own time. I plan to have a steady summer of slow progression of training and a great final high school cross country season in the fall. I am excited to see what I can bring to a college team. My passion is fierce and my dedication even more fierce. Thank you for your consideration.
