What makes me a good candidate ? Probaly heard this a million times from thousands of other people but i’m motivated and extremely hard working, but what makes me different is the real question? My comeback. Beginning of my Sophomore year I was pulled out of my cross season due to my eating disorder I took the time off recovered and came back stronger. I didn’t let that barrier hold me back, I went on to place 3rd at state in the 1600m, break all long distance records at my school and place 1st all conference in the 1600m, 3200m and 800m. Academic wise i have always been gifted but that doesn’t stop me from always giving 100%. What makes me stand out is my energy and personality on the track, therefore my nickname Goldie. When it comes to college I want to make an impact maybe it’s not being the fastest but it could be the most motivational, energetic or hardworking. I have big goals , even after college (qualify for olympic trials in marathon) but for now I want to focus on becoming the best runner and person I can be. Running in college will help pave that way for me, which is just another reason to be even more excited to one day get the blessings and hardships of running in college.
