My plan for college is to major in computer science and hopefully run track too. I originally joined the high school track team in tenth grade to get faster for soccer. I loved track from day one and was quickly improving. My first big meet was Penn Relays. After seeing the competition and how much more space there was for me to improve, I was hooked and decided to focus my energies on track rather than soccer. My team qualified for states for our 4x100, but I was still far away from qualifying through any individual event. I decided to join summer track and condition all throughout winter, so when I got to indoor season I could get to states myself. By the end of indoor, I qualified for states for my 300m and placed third overall. My 4x200 relay team won the MD state championship, so I reached the goal I set in outdoor.
I am a dedicated, driven, and motivated optimist, who understands the importance of working hard and supporting my teammates.
