My name is Abigail Fernald. I attend Deerfield Academy an elite New England Preparatory School in Western Massachusetts. My hometown is Avon, CT. Running is one of the things in life that I am most passionate about and something I am willing to give my full dedication to. When I am running I feel free. In college I want to take my running to the highest level I am capable of, and I plan to do this through my work ethic. I think that the work ethic I possess makes me different than other recruits. I never give up and I never settle no matter what challenges I face. I am always willing to give it my all and push myself for my team. I try to carry a team first attitude, and I understand that what is best for my team won't always be best for me. There is nothing better than being on a team where your teammates are there for you and you are there for them. I think the best thing I can do for my team is to give a perfect effort every day, support my teammates on and off the track, and practice good sportsmanship always. The best things in life have to be earned and thats what I plan to do throughout the remainder of my high school career. I am going to earn good grades, and I hope to be able to earn a position on a college team.
