Transitioning from club soccer, I began running cross country during my eighth grade year. I instantly had a newfound passion for distance and wanted to pursue a high school career running cross country as well as track and field. As our high school program had a strong foundation and successful history, I was excited to become a member of the team and help continue traditions.
Every aspect of the training process is important to me. I believe each season should be treated like a new sheet of paper regardless of prior success, working hard to reach new marks and build strong team bonds. Each season I strive to be the best teammate and role model I can be. I try to have my work ethic and dedication lead by example.
Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, I am working and learning to control what I can control in order to help make myself a better athlete and teammate. Although we have had to overcome many obstacles this year, I have continued to stay focused and work hard to prepare for any opportunities that may come.
I maintain a high GPA while actively participating as a member of DECA business club, political club, and film club.
I am looking to find a college or university than can challenge me both academically and athletically. On the collegiate level, I would love to continue to serve as a strong role model and become the best version of myself.
