August 2020 Update!!! 3x All American at the Junior Olympics in Satellite Florida. 2nd in Long jump, 6Th in 100 meter hurdles, 6th in 100 meter dash and 9th in 200 meter dash. Update 5/9/2020: Been working with some great coaches and a few other determined athletes during the shut down, getting as many time trials in and work outs. All of my events have continued to excel. I will be running sub 14 second 100 m hurdles and over 5000 on heptathlon. I will update my times regularly and pray we get to have some 2020 summer season. My indoor season was fantastic with jumps over 18' 4", 7.84 60 meter and 9.15 60 meter hurdles with times and jumps improving at each meet and finishing with 7 golds, 4 silvers and 5 bronze medals for 2020. My ultimate collegiate goal is to become a successful track athlete, teammate and achieve my degree. I have demonstrated this so far in high school by consistently improving my times, motivating my teammates and also by winning The Springfield Sport's Commision Award for Girl's track athlete of the year and The Aldo Sebben Award presented by the Southwest Missouri Cross Country and Track Coaches for outstanding Class 4 High School Track & Field Athlete of the year. The Aldo Sebben Award is voted on by all the coaches of Southwest Missouri. These were awarded to me for my track performance, sportsmanship and character on and off the track. My sophomore year was outstanding as a 4 event Class 4 state medalist and earning 25 gold medals during the 2019 regular season. I am very driven and competitive in everything I do from athletics to scholastics. At the same time, I am an encouragement to my teammates and I look for ways to help others. I am currently training to compete as a heptathlete with my club coaches and excelling in all events at this time.
I have prospered in leadership roles already as a sophomore on the track team, volleyball team and in the weight room. My volunteer experience with Special Olympics, Medical Explorers, and Serving at the Homeless Veterans Shelter has allowed me to learn the reward of helping others. I would eventually enjoy using my skills and accomplishments to help young athletes achieve their track goals. My academic success is also very important to me, as I know this is a key to my career goal to become a physical therapist. My cumulative GPA is a 3.9 and I am ranked in the top 5% of my high school class.
I look forward to hearing from you and possibly running on your track team to grow as an athlete and person and be a part of winning a championship. The best is yet to come for me.
