Following behind my sister, a cross country state runner-up; my father, a national champion in wrestling; my mother, whom ran cross country for Doane University, and my deceased uncle whom started as quarterback at Dana University and eventually played for England, does nothing but motivate me and make me proud of my last name. Running is something I believe I was born to do, and something I don't think should have to stop after high school. I am a three-time Conference Champion, as of now a two-time State Placer, (both places were ninth and still waiting to run at state this year). I have qualified for state every year. Last track season I qualified in the two mile and mile, but failed to place. I was the district champion. I give workouts as well as races all I have. Although my school comes first, sports are a close second. I believe the body can do anything if the mind will let it, and that's what gets me through every single race.
