2023 HighlightsPersonal Statement
My name is Kennedy and I am a passionate pole vaulter. Through dedication, discipline, and a continued pursuit of excellence, I have developed not only physical strength but also mental fortitude. I’ve learned not to let fear control my life or stop me from achieving my goals, and remember without adversity and failure, life would have no meaning. Pole vault has shaped the person I am today, and to continue that journey in college would be my dream.
In addition to my main event, pole vault, I am a competitive sprinter who runs the 100 and 200, and contributed to my schools 4x100M and 4x200M relays, which both placed 1st in the 2023 Nevada State Championship. In addition to track, I am an enthusiastic cheerleader and starting role in my schools flag football team. During the offseason, I persistently work on bettering my athletic skills by lifting weights and practicing sprint work. In my life, I choose to lead with confidence and power, and throughout my athletic and personal careers I plan to continue pushing myself to my greatest potential.
