I started running when I was in 6th grade and I have been in love with running ever since. I grew up playing soccer and swimming but did not get to start track until middle school. My favorite event was the 200m and I stuck with it until high school where I became a 400m runner. I hope to continue running into college and being the best athlete I can be. This year I hope to achieve a sub 59.00 sec 400m. I am always trying to improve so I will take as much advice as I can get.
At state my freshman year, I ran the medley 400, open 400m and the 4x4 relay on both days. Our medley relay took 6th place, our 4x4 took 4th place, and I took 6th in my open 400m with a 1:00.58 min. At state my junior year, I ran in the 4x1, 4x2, and open 100m, 200m, and 400m. In the 4x1 relay we 5th took place and I also took 5th in my open 400m.
During college, I will work hard to excel in my major. In everything I do, I put my best foot forward and put in the time and effort to get the results I want. I plan to major in either Kinesiology or Psychology as they both interest me. I work hard to keep my grades up and currently have a 4.79 on a 5.0 scale.
During my free time I enjoy reading, baking, and gardening. I also enjoy spending time with my family. Currently, I am the Vice President of a Turning Point USA club that started at my school which focuses on political activism in high school students.
I hope to continue pursuing my love of running to the next level.
