Kaya Szczepkowski '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi I'm Kaya Szczepkowski. Ever since I was in my mother's womb, I have been running. My father and mother are both passionate runners. They used to always say that as I grew older, I would be running with them. As I grew older, I started running three miles with my parents every time. Over the years, my strength and endurance as a runner improved significantly. I then started competing in 3-mile races, and even though I was smaller at the time, I was able to complete the 3 miles in 25 minutes and 8 seconds. I kept running for years, to the point that it became a way of life for me. My core passion and skill has always been running, but I didn't know how good I could get until I started running for my school. Since running has been genuinely my sport and skill since the beginning of my life, I am still eager to pursue my running career. For the young Kaya I was and the runner girl I have grown up to be, it would be an incredible dream come true to be able to run at the collegiate level.
