Parker Steele '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello coaches! My name is Parker Steele and I am a 2026 athlete at Guilderland High School. I am very interested in continuing my track and field career after high school at the collegiate level and would like to pursue a career in the athletic field.  Throughout my life, I have always been involved in sports.  My family has a long line of athletic success, and the core values that have been instilled in me through my family and athletic experiences have molded me into the athlete I am today.  My grandfather was a collegiate hurdler, my mom is a physical education teacher and was a multi-sport athlete, one of my aunts was a dual sport collegiate athlete, my other aunt played collegiate basketball and played professionally in Belgium, and my father played collegiate baseball and played professional baseball for the Detroit Tigers.  I guess I could say that we are a very competitive family that loves sports! Throughout grade school and middle school I was a competitive gymnast and played club soccer at the same time.  My experiences with these sports helped to prepare me for success and make for a smooth transition to school sports.  I have been on the soccer team and varsity track and field team since 7th grade.  I am a high honor roll student who is enrolled in all honors and AP classes. I take both my athletics and academics very seriously and have worked hard to create a balance and excel in both.   I am extremely dedicated to improving my times, distances, and fine tuning my techniques in hurdles, jumps, and sprints.  I am a NYSPHSAA Champion in the 4x100m Relay, a 5 time NYSPHSAA Meet competitor, 6 time nationals competitor, and a 2 time All-American in the Shuttle Hurdle Relay.  I also currently hold 13 school records!  I am very excited to continue my career and look forward to hearing from you!
