"Believe you can and your halfway there" - Theodore Roosevelt.
I'm Sierra Kraemer, born in Rhinebeck NY to my parents, Rich and Liza Kraemer. At 4 I began an eleven year long gymnastics career competing at level 9, and would have competed level 10 if not for Covid. Competitions came to an end as did my daily practices for competitive gymnastics. My parents had always wanted me to compete in another sport and with Covid came that chance. As a Junior at Arlington High School, Lagrangeville NY, I decided track was where I should use my athletic ability. The coaches put me in "intermural" because of "no experience" but realized at my first meet that they had other plans....leaving that meet they wanted to know my name, Sierra Kraemer. I competed in high jump, with no previous training, and was able to clear 4'8. As a walk-on Junior I took the MVP for girls track for the entire school, no experience but gymnastics. Arlington High School has over 3000 students in up-state NY.
I am in training now and meet with a track coach once a week. I am throwing the shot, jumping in both long and high and will be running the 4 X 100 relay as well as the 55M and the 100M sprints.
I just broke the longest long jump record in the history of Arlington High School with a jump of 17'4" which was held since 2013 by a girl that went on to complete in the Olympic trials. I am hoping that I can follow in her footstep:).
I have also qualified for Nationals this year and will be competing in Boston the first week in March.
I encourage you to take a look at my videos and reach out. I can't wait to represent a winning team!
