My name is Norah Scruggs I’m 17years old. I am a rising senior at Newburgh Free Academy. I have been running track since the 7th grade and have had a strong passion for the sport. Participating in sprinting events helps give me the drive to push myself and do better than the previous event. It’s mandatory to achieve high grades in order to engage in the sport. I currently have a 3.0 GPA, and learning how to balance academics and athletics helps me to acquire skills in time management and ultimately stability in other aspects of my life
For the future track season, I will become a veteran since I’m one of the seniors on the team. This new experience will enhance my leadership skills and support my team in any way that I can. I look forward to motivating my team to support them in having a successful season and also, being able to enjoy our time spent running and have memorable moments to look back on. Running on a collegic level track team is a goal I'm striving to achieve. I’m looking forward to competing on a college team and the experiences that it will bring to me.
