2018 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I was first introduced to the field of throwing at the age of 9. I was eager to learn everything I possibly could about this sport. My passion for throwing has only grown stronger by learning different techniques and knowledge. I am an assistant coach for the Northport Youth Running Club. It is a great joy to introduce children from my community to discus and shotput. In my free time, I idolize Olympic throwers online, observing every detail of their throws to get more insight on other techniques and improvements. I have thrown 93 feet at the Don Bohlinger's Invitational with the discus spin. I have also thrown 29 feet 8 inches at the League 2 Championships/Suffolk West, for the shot put with the glide. Now, I am consistently throwing well over 100 feet with discus and over 30 feet with the shot put in practice. Before I graduate in 2021, I want to succeed in throwing over 115 feet with the discus and 35 feet with shot put. I would like to strengthen myself to be the best I can be, with the help of my coaches.
