My goal as a collegiate athlete is to excel academically, socially, and physically. I want to take advantage of the opportunity to work with a college coach of a successful team. I am very quick to adapt and learn and I work hard for what I want. I’ve done the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:09, I’ve ran 100 hurdles at the time of 19.48, I’ve done the 200 meter dash, 4x1, long jump, triple jump, high jump, and the 4x4. I’m willing to expand and push myself in my athletic abilities and I am confident in my capability to do so. My main event is high jump, which I decided to focus on this season, and I PR’d by 8 inches within the indoor and outdoor 2018-2019 seasons. I also decided that if I want to be a collegiate athlete, I need to get my academics together as well. As you can see in my transcript, I did not have the best grades throughout high school, but when you look on my junior year grades, you can see mass improvement. This is just a taste of my dedication when I’m hungry for something, and I’m hungry for this opportunity.
Update: I have broken the school record for long, triple, and high jump.
I am the 2019-2020 NCHSAA A/AA state champion for high jump
