In college I want to continue my aspirations of becoming a nurse practitioner, so living up to my “student-athlete” standards is no hassle for me. I am self-motivated and very competitive on and off the track. I attend an innovative high school with rigorous courses; classes I take include honors high school courses, along with college courses on the campus of North Carolina Central University. I do plenty of community service due to the organization that I am in.
I have tried many sports but track is the one that has taught me the most. Being that track is more of an individual sport, many think you only do for yourself; track has exemplified that you as an individual can do well for yourself and also better the team. I continue to strive for better and never settle for what I have. This attitude I have on the track is the same I have in the classroom, I want to continue to excel in all aspects of my life.
