I'm looking forward to competing at a higher level in college sports. I've always thought of sports as a challenge, but one that motivates me to become a better version of myself and an athlete in general. I enjoy having the opportunity to socialize and meet new people. Being on a sports team allows me to be a part of a team where shared collaborative problem solving leads to better outcomes. I knew I wanted to grow and develop into a runner who could advance my career as long as I stayed focused, determined, and believed in myself since the beginning of my track career in middle school.
I've always thought that having an extra activity would be fun over the years, but I never imagined that track and field would be the best fit for me. But the first time I tried it, I had a lot of fun seeing how our bodies could move so freely and simply for us to be ourselves. Knowing that it would be more difficult at times without training and staying in shape to achieve your goals. You can always set goals and achieve them, but once you get more involved, there will always be obstacles.
My goal for my senior year of high school is to maintain the same mindset that I have but to be stronger and to pursue what the Lord is leading me to. Improve in the events that I've been working on, as well as to improve myself as a runner and how to treat my body while still working hard on these goals as they remain consistent for the time being. I would be grateful for the opportunity to further my track career and achieve great things.
