I am a cross country/distance runner at Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, North Carolina and I am looking for a school to keep me driven in athletics at the collegiate level. I have been running since I was 8-years-old. I work on my own strength and conditioning during the off season to push myself and work towards my goal. I am a team leader, cheering and encouraging my teammates to work hard and do their best. I also try to get some of my fellow teammates to come out during the off season, so we can continue training to push each other and reach our goals. During the off season, I help coach the distance team at the middle school I previously attended. When helping coach the middle school distance team, I enjoy seeing the younger kids running and getting the enjoyment I get when I run. While being focused and working hard during training, I continue to strive to do my best academically, which has earned me the third rank in my class. I am an IBDP (International Baccalaureate Full Diploma Program) student. I plan to go to college to study some type of animal related science and after graduating attend a school of veterinary medicine.
