India McWhorter '13 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'7", 210 pound shotput/discus thrower from Stony Point, NC. I have been on the Indoor/Outdoor Track & Field team since my freshman year. Some of my awards include Freshman of the Year (2010), Athlete of the Year (2010), and I currently hold the school record in shotput with a throw of 40' 4.5", and in the discus throw with a mark of 138' 2". I have a 3.8 GPA and a 25 ACT score.

My ideal college is a mid-size one that is preferably in-state, but I'm open to a school farther away. Financial aid is also a large part of finding the right school, because I have an older sister who is headed off to college one year before me. My main goal is to find a college with a great track program (it doesn't really matter what division), an awesome marching band (I play the saxophone/drum major), and ultimately, a place I can call home. I want to find a school that has a very supportive, family atmosphere.
