My collegiate goals are to run an 11.00 by the end of my college career in the 100 meter dash. I would like to train and run for an Olympic Trial, whether I qualify or not; that experience is my lifes dream. There are 3 key factors that would make me a good candidate for your team:
I am naturally talented as an athlete, coming from a long line of athletes in my family. I am different from other recruits because I show great control of my emotions, and try to avoid getting too nervous or angry. It is overwhelming to be the "go-to" girl for encouragement on the team, but emotional control affects performance. Years of winning on a relay team has shown me the importance of adaptability. When changing legs throughout the year, it takes confidence in your coaches decision and patience to meet the challenge that these adjustments bring. Lastly, time management is my greatest priority as I enter college because there is always room for improvement when balancing athletics and academics.
Overall, as a freshman recruit these are the qualities of who I am both on the field and off.
