Hi, my name is Melissa Starr. I have only been pole vaulting for 2 1/2 years, but I can honestly say that it changed my life. This sport and all those who I have met through it have allowed me to grow as an athlete and as a person. Because of this, pole vaulting has become my favorite thing to do, and I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I have so much passion for this amazing sport that I am able to channel into hard work. I aspire to give 100% at every practice I attend, and learn something new from each experience. Because of this I would love to continue my pole vault career throughout college, and grow even more through this sport, and I hope that I am able to be given that chance.
