Veronica Waugaman '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Veronica Waugaman.  I am determined to pursue pole vault at the collegiate level.  I started vault in 8th grade and I've fallen in love with the sport.  I've been involved in athletics practically my entire life starting gymnastics at the age of 2 and becoming a USAG Level 9 gymnast.  I feel that some of my strongest attributes are my work ethic and determination.  For the last two years alone, I've attended gymnastics practice 3 to 4 days a week along with attending pole vault lessons over an hour from my house 2 to 3 days a week all while maintaining straight A's year round.  Although I love sports and competition, academics is my first priority.  I've been taking College Credit Plus classes over last three years and have 15 college credits completed. I plan on attending a school that offers a strong academic foundation while also being able to participate in track and field. I'm looking forward to taking that next step and pursuing pole vault in college.  Thank you.
