My aspiration for doing shot put in college is to not only improve my skill in the event but also to have more school spirit. At the start of my freshman year of high school I weighed about 205 lbs and I was only 5'7". Since then I have hit the gym and improved my athletic ability tremendously; I now weigh 170 lbs and i'm 5'8". This weight loss journey helped me to be able to enlist into the national guard and push myself to be my best not only in shot but in cross country and swimming as well. Doing cross county and swimming as a JV player has taught me that in order to be a great athlete and not just a good one, you need to be cardiovascularly fit as well as strong muscle wise. Working had and pushing myself is what I do and I don't intend to stop.
