In college, I want to help contribute to the team and help myself grow not only as a track athlete, but as a person. Alongside athletics, I want to challenge myself academically. I feel that I can contribute to a college team because my work ethic and competitive spirit will help me overcome any obstacle that I will face. These character traits have helped me retain a good GPA in high school and become a seven time all-state athlete in Tennessee, one of which was a first place in triple jump and two third places in the 4x200 and 4x100 relays. Also, with the same relay team mentioned before, I have gotten two school records.
Although I do compete in individual events, I most enjoy competing with my relay team in the 4x200, 4x100, and 4x400 relays. I enjoy working with other people to achieve a common goal and being a part of one big goal.
