I've been in Track and Field since the sixth grade, and five years later, I'm grateful for that first step on the track. It's been long and challenging, from injuries to doubting myself, but everyone experiences that. The question is, what do you choose to do in the face of adversity? I chose to be persistent, to keep pushing because every mountain has a summit, and I'm on my way. Climbing to the top has taught me to be flexible and to endure hardships. During sophomore year I did LJ and TJ for the first time, and I was tempted to give up, but putting in the work will get you the results. And it's just the beginning.
Continuing with track, I'd love to achieve my business and entrepreneurship goals. Being a student-athlete isn't easy, and along with track, I do sports in other seasons, but I've consistently come out with a 4.0 GPA, and I'm hoping to keep it that way. Overall I'm a great candidate because I"m persistent, flexible, and a great team player. I'm working towards the day I'll reach the summit.
