Winning the TAPPS Regionals meet as a freshman was just the beginning of my high school running career. I feel I grew the most as a student-athlete and an individual my sophomore year when I left to study in the UK. I not only qualified that summer for the USATF Junior Olympics but I qualified for Cross Country nationals as a foreign exchange student in the UK. That experience helped me grow as a person and as a leader when I was nominated as Head of Sports for all women's sports teams of my school. Returning to my hometown as a junior, I was nominated Team Captain for my Cross Country Team, this position has prepared me on becoming a valuable team asset for competing at college level.
I was fortunate enough to be apart of three different high school programs, qualifying to State three different times and qualifying to Nationals four separate occasions in two different countries. I learned the value of teamwork, commitment, and leadership over these past four years. I am looking for a program that will suit me athletically as well as academically. I believe I have the talent and dedication to compete on a college team, as well as a strong work ethic and leadership skills to make an impact on any given program. As a current Cross Country and Track and Field team captain, I know I have what it takes to be a college student-athlete.
