Hi,I am Peyton Cox, I am a student at Harper High school and I run Track as well as Cross Country on the Varsity level. My Goal is to be recruited by a school that will best benefit me both Academically and Athletically. At the moment I plan to major in Athletic Sciences to later become a Personal Trainer and stick with doing something I love.
I didn't find my love for the sport of running until very late, I have always been a girl with a very high stamina and I was always very energetic as a young child, but I did not realize that it would come in handy when I later found my love for running. I have tried many sports throughout Grade school and Middle school, but it wasn't until my 8th grade year when my Coach put me on the track to race my first mile that I fell in love with racing. It has been very hard for me at times because I am a very outspoken person and wasn't always good at sticking up for myself, so I was often taken advantage of and did not have many friends. Running has allowed me to be a stronger individual not only on the track but as a person as well. it is also my safe place when I get anxiety or just stressed out running has always calmed me down and has allowed me to find new friends that enjoy the same love for running I do and also love to compete. I am a very vigorous person and when I want something I work for it. My biggest supporter throughout this whole experience is my Dad, he doesn't get to make a lot of my meets because he works offshore as a Towboat driver, but every time I have a race he calls me and tells me how good I am going to do. I want to make it far in running to make myself, my coach, and my family proud of what I can accomplish.
