To be honest, I never thought about going to college until I moved with my father. I moved with my father when I was 12 years old. I wanted to live with him for as long as I could remember do to family issues with my mother. I never participated in team sports until I moved with my father. I wanted to try every sport once I got to live with my father and he let me. I tried for every sport in 7th grade and only made the track team and I loved it. I made a personal goal to break the school record in the 300m hurdles once I got into 8th grade, and I did. I ran a 49.9 and that showed me that I could do anything I set my mind to. My goal is to compete in college in 4 years and be a top woman's athlete, and right now I'm on the right path. I absolutely love the hurdles, but I like to run the mile relay to help the team win as a whole. Most athletes my age don't compete year round and train to stay in shape in the off season. Yes I love to hang out with my friends, but I also have goals I want to achieve. Hard work and dedication will get me there.
