I am 5’7” track and field athlete from Uvalde, Tx and will graduate in 2021. I have been apart of the Uvalde High School varsity track team for four years now. I do play varsity volleyball as well and earned Academic All-District. I have a 3.8 GPA.
I am looking towards an organization to find the right balance between the classroom as well as the track. I would like to attend a university with an excellent academic reputation in the medical field. I would like to attend a medium size college with a safe and great “college town” atmosphere. I am highly interested in the schools here in Texas, but I am willing to travel a long distance to school with less out of the pocket expense. Financial assistance is going to be very important to me in the college selection process as my family will have a high need. I am open to attend christian or HBC as well as a DII or Dlll level. If I am offered a higher or any other opportunity, I would gladly consider it.
Bring on varsity/team comes with high responsibility. Like being open minded to learn new things, and being committed to your team and sport. As an athlete that has been apart of the same team for three years, you learn, you experience, and you make commitment . I was put on varsity track as a freshman in high school and was competing against very talented girls. The competition was raised and I had to step up my game. As a sophomore, I was named area and district champ for the 100 meter and finished 6th in my 5A region. I do believe I have the talent and the work ethic to compete with a college team.
