It has always been a passion of mine to throw in college at a D2 or D1level. In my mind I see track and field as an opportunity to better myself, which means I am 10 times more dedicated than most of the people around me. My coach as of sophomore year, a former Baylor Big 12 champion, has told me that I am teachable and ready to work. I’d like to believe that those are my best qualities when it comes to sports. My freshman year I took the top varsity spot for discus at my school, and I have held that position ever since. I want to get better, and I want to earn a position that I’m proud of. I have had teammates that have torn me down, trying to shake my confidence and tell me I’m not good enough, and coaches that could care less about me. The thing is, I didn’t care because I was doing something I love. I want to find a college that will help me pursue the things I love, and when that happens I’m ready to work harder than I ever have before.
