I’ve been running track since I was 7 years old, however, at the age of 3 or 4, I began playing soccer. I really enjoyed it and the coach always told me how fast I was. This had a huge influence on me beginning to run track. When I first started running, I didn’t know much besides having to run fast. Therefore, I made it my personal goal to not give up on running and to begin learning technique. From that point, I began to take track seriously. I’ve attended Junior Olympics almost every year, many indoor meets, broke records, and accomplished yearly goals I’ve set for myself. I study track, work hard in my training, and give 100% every time I step on the line. I am a AP Honors student that takes just as much pride in my grades as I do in my PR’s in track. I’ve been a Honor Roll student all my life and also a member of the National Honors Society. My ability in both the classroom and in track gave me the confidence to not only make Varsity as a freshman, but to also be a leader on the team helping my teammates with classwork as well as track work. God has blessed me with these wonderful gifts and I’m prepared to display my talent’s throughout the rest of highschool and at the collegiate level.
