Running is simply the most enjoyable and beautiful thing on this earth. Growing up I would always be the girl that found herself trying to convince everyone to play one more round of tag, despite the fact that we had been running around for hours. While I was growing up I also found myself packing my things in a new moving truck seven times; frequently moving is one of the lovely perks of being part of a military family.
One of the longest moves my family ever made was to Munnsville, New York this county has a whopping population of 472 people. I lived in Munnsville for five years and I didn't have access to any local track, or know what Cross Country was until the summer before my freshman year. I always loved going on morning runs with my parents but when I moved to Virginia the idea of a middle school track team excited me like nothing else ever had. Once I hit the track I never wanted to leave, I went from loving to run and having no technique to being the best on the middle school team and now the best on my high school teams.
I have learned so much in the past two years and I have made so many changes to my life including my nutrition and overall fitness. Even though I am still learning I couldn't be more sure that running in college would be a dream come true. I am willing to put a lot of time and effort to be able to compete at a higher level. At the end of the day running is something I will never let go of and I want to find a school that will really challenge me and not only put my ability to the test but help me improve.
