Hello, my name is Ella Meeuwsen. I am a junior at Bay Port High School and I have participated in track for four years. Throughout my life, I have competed in track, dance, soccer, and softball, but I really stuck with track and dance when I hit high school. At the beginning of this school year, I decided to focus on only track and to stop dancing. That was a hard decision for me but I now know that it will be worth it and the more time I have to work harder in the offseason will pay off. I am disappointed that I will not be competing in my junior year due to Covid19, but I will not take for granted this time to work harder and get better. For my senior year, I am working towards going back to state, as I did my freshman and sophomore year, and to make the podium, as I did my sophomore year when I received 3rd after a jump-off. I know it will take hard work but I am determined to put in the time and effort needed to achieve my goals.
