My freshman track season ended with multiple PR’s and a trip to sectionals. After that, I had dreamed of ending my sophomore season by being able to run the 400M at state but after only week of practice my school was shut down and all spring sports seasons were called off. I was heart broken about losing my sophomore season but I came back my junior year ready to pick up where I had left off. My junior season didn’t go exactly how I had planned it to. We had finally gotten enough girls on our small team to run a relay and, so, I gave up the 400M to join the 4x200 and 4x100 relay teams. Though I didn’t know it then, this was on of the best choices that I made. Our team grew stronger with the season and eventually of hopes of going to sectionals and giving our senior anchor a great last season came true. In short, my junior season was definitely not what I expected it to be but it turned out better than I could have ever imagined.
