Kortnie Volk's Tr...Personal Statement
Running has always been one of my passions and it is something that I enjoy doing. A goal of mine has been to continue my running career after high school, but I have always known that things do not come without a lot of hard work beforehand. Academics and athletics have taught me what a work ethic is, and I strive to maintain a high GPA in the classroom and give it all I have during practices and meets.
Being involved in multiple extracurricular activities makes me an active leader in my school. I am a three sport athlete, and there is no off season for me, which is why it is important that I train hard year-round and attend several running/track and field camps during the summer. Motivated to achieve my goals, I push myself to my fullest potential and do everything with 110% effort. While I strive to challenge myself, challenging my teammates to help them reach their goals and fullest potential is also extremely important to me as an athlete. All of these qualities make me a very coachable athlete and a great teammate.
My goal is to attend a college where I can push myself in my academics and athletics. Below is a link to a highlight video for my 2018 Track and Field season.
