Hello, my name is Hope Stangel and I am a student at Wauwatosa East High School. I started pole vault the beginning of track season my sophomore year and have also been a competitive gymnast for 10 years. I never thought of myself as a college athlete, but pole vault became a major passion of mine. Since then my passion became my goal. My PR sophomore year was 9 feet 9 inches and throughout the off season I've raised it to 12 feet. With that being said my goals are a major drive in my life. Some goals of mine are to make it to state this year (indoor and outdoor season), and also to hit 13 feet by the end of the season. Another goal of mine off the track is to be in the medical field. That goal is a little blurry because I don't fully know what I want to do in the medical field but helping others has always been a passion of mine and I want to make sure that whatever I do for the rest of my life will help people.
